A Business Identifier is a code that identifies a specifc company or business partner. Business Identifiers in Syncrofy correspond directly to EDI standards.
Note: When adding a Business Identifier, ensure that you enter the ISA Qualifier and Identifier listed in the EDI document or your entry will be invalid (e.g. Value: ZZ, Sub Value: 123456). For partners with a different GS identifer than the ISA Qualifier, you may enter the GS Identifier to distinguish it as a unique partner.
¶ Adding a Business Identifier
- Under the "All Partners" tab, click on the desired Partner in the left-hand column of the main Partners screen.
- Click the Add EDI Identifier button.
- Type in the desired "Qualifier."
- Type in the desired "Value" and "Sub Value" (if applicable).
- Click the OK button to save.
Note: The "Sub Value" field can be used to represent a parent or "sub" company. For example, COMPANY 1 may be entered in the Qualifier and Value fields and COMPANY 1-A would be entered in the Sub Value field (a parent company of COMPANY 1).
¶ Editing a Business Identifier
- Under the "All Partners" tab, click on the desired Partner in the left-hand column of the main Partners screen.
- In the right column, click on the "Qualifier" or "Value" you wish to edit or click the Edit icon.
- Input your desired changes in the appropriate fields.
- Click the OK button to save.
You can also delete an identifier by clicking the Delete icon next to the desired identifier.
